Hello.
Try my resolution.
Just use a gasket maker for the filler.

I think mine went on me, too. I was on my way home from work the other night and I went to turn off my turn signal and noticed it was all slippery. Then I started noticing that every few seconds a few sprays of coolant would spit up all over the inside of my windscreen and occaisionally spray my left arm. Made a complete mess. I couldn't really see where it's coming from but I'm sure it's from the expansion tank. I hope it's cheap to get a new one.

65$ au .....but its a disassemble...

take off tank
take off faring ( side and nose )
undo hoses
undo stuff ( technical term ) on water tank
remove tank and drain

swap over filler asembly, rubber thingos etc

and then do the reverse , easy....

just take your time and enjoy ( whilst enjoying all of this ) and say "this is much better than riding the bike "
